If you want to help create a greener future and develop the world’s best fuel cell systems and products, Whitecell Systems is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer who is passionate about development, 3D construction and team collaboration in our mechanical R&D department at Lyngvej 8 in Aalborg.
Your tasks
You and the rest of the mechanics team will be involved in all phases of product development and production preparation, including the design of new prototype products, product development at component level, and product maturation and improvement of existing products.
There will be independent work tasks as well as participation in project teams.
Primary tasks:
- Team Leader
- Be the driving force and take ownership of a smaller team that focuses on the product mechanical.
- Planning and estimating resources and schedules in collaboration with the product owner, other teams and management.
- Reporting directly to the company’s management.
- Take ownership and stand up for quality in solutions.
- Help ensure good dialogue and collaboration across the company.
- Coordination with other teams and resources in sister companies in Germany.
- Creativity and innovation
- Bring ideas and thoughts into play for the improvement and development of products.
- Design of mechanical solutions for fuel cell prototypes, products and systems.
- Technical sparring and collaboration with colleagues in development, production and sales.
- Support and collaborate with colleagues in production, documentation and sourcing.
- Process and Systematics
- Preparation of production basis in SolidWorks (3D/2D) and ensure the quality of this in the team.
- Production maturation and final development of prototypes, documentation and handover for production and Business Central (ERP).
- Document management and audit management in PDM.
- Ensure evaluation, testing and review of technical solutions and prototypes.
- Maintain and further develop the department’s tool package, systems and processes.
Your profile
We would like you to have a background and experience as a mechanical engineer, preferably from a production company with serial production, but not a must.
You are an experienced user of SolidWorks or similar 3D drawing programs and preferably PDM, and you have a good technical understanding of the process from design to production. You can work in a development environment with specialists and generalists. You actively participate in technical discussions and are happy to seek out colleagues across teams to ensure the right solution.
You are fluent in Danish/English both in writing and in speech. German language skills will be a welcome plus.
You work in a structured way and are goal-oriented with the tasks. You are a team player who manages to keep a good dialogue and are happy to help your colleagues with the execution of a task or sharing experience. You are quality-conscious with a sense of economical design. You are flexible and have a good mood.
